<div style="text-align: justify;">During April 2012,prices at the source of organic products have decreased in relation to March as a tendency. The tendency was determined by the negative variations reciorded in the fruit and vegetable sector, while prices in the other sectors incresed in realtion to April 2011. Prices at consumers' level in the supermarkest, for the main products, were substantially stable, with some slight decreases related to extra-virgin olive oils and eggs, and slight increases for some types of bovine meat. The prices for direct selling of organic productsare as atendency decreasing, in relation with the decrease recorded in the fuit and vegetable section.<br>In the meanwhile, the domanda of organic packaged products in the supermarkets is growing. In 2011, following the data related to families (Ismea/GFK-Eurisko), their cosnumptions increased by 8.9% in value, in a ontest of a strong economical crises.&nbsp; The faster growing products&nbsp; were diary products (+16.2%), eggs (21.4%), sweets and snacks (+16%).<br></div><br><a href="../share/img_lib_files/1859_ismea-news_biologico_2012_maggio.pdf"> The document</a> (in Italian)<br><br>Source: ISMEA<br><br><br>
