Biol Prize, the event in Apulia comparing the best organic extra-virgin olive oils from all over the world, will take place in Ostuni from 18 to 20 March. The XXII edition, promoted by CiBi, the Italian Consortium for Organic, will include cultural and gastronomic events, while the theme of this edition is included in the payoff "Make the difference", as well as the title of the international conference that will mark the substantial differences - of taste, health and environmental benefits - between the conventional extra virgin olive oils and the organic ones.
Registration is under way: operators that produce, bottle or market organic olive oil may subscribe -and, important, send their samples- by 28 February via web on www.premiobiol.it, or by contacting the CiBi at info@premiobiol.it , tel. +39 080 5582512.
At the end of the festival, the jury - made up of experts from the different olive-growing regions of the world - will assign several awards, including: the Biol Prize, addressed to the bottled and ready for sale best organic extra virgin olive oils; Biolpack, to the best packaging, ie the product packaging with the best design and clearer labeling; and various territorial and thematic awards, such as the BiolKids, dedicated to the young palates of primary schools.
