“Organic farming: the US market grows fast. (IT)

At world level, U.S. is the largest generator of demand related to organic products. Between 2002 and 2011 the increase was of approximately 240%. According to estimates by the Organic Trade Association (OTA), in 2012 eight out of ten families bought organic produce. The TechSci Research recently published the report "United State Organic Food Market Forecast & Opportunities 2018" , which reveals that the U.S. organic market continues its run. Until 2018 the growth is expected to continue at the rate of 14%, following the compound annual growth rate (CAGR). The demand for organic products is stimulated by a new awareness about its health benefits and the increase in per capita economic income. The U.S. organic market is mainly divided into 3 segments: fruits and vegetables, dairy products and packaged products. In 2010, the organic sector  accounted for 4% of the growth of the agro-food sector in terms of revenue. Between 2010 and 2012, consumer spending in this regard increased by about 7.67%. The report "United States Organic Food Market Forecast & Opportunities 2018"  evaluated the growth potential for organic in the U.S., providing some statistics and information on structures and economic trends, with the intention to offer useful tools to investors, so to adjust their  future strategies.
