Agenda

The Farm “Vistorta” of Sacile (Pordenone, Friuli) will host on 14 May, starting at 9.30, the conference “A viticulture for the future”. The meeting is organized by the regional branch of AIAB - the  Italian Organic Farming Association and the farm Vistorta with the intent to inform farmers about organic farming techniques and promote the exchange of knowledge and experience in order to improve the commitment towards a sustainable and responsible agriculture.

The conference will address the theme of organic farming in the vineyards, starting from the reasons leading to conversion, the related problems and the chances of success. Arguments will be the soil biodiversity and the effect on the vineyard management, the quality of the grapes and … the spade, a useful tool to know its own soil better. The confrontation will continue expanding the focus to the entire organic farm, until the idea of “organic territory”.

Beyond the technical interventions, there will be space for the exchange of experiences among producers.

The invitation is addressed at both those who have already entered the organic farming system,  and to those, winemakers and farmers, seeking for new answers. Participation is free.
