The European Horizon 2020 program has made available 2 million euros for agriculture through the tender “Strengthening the European agro-ecological research and innovation ecosystem”. Topics will be research, sustainability and digitalization applicable to the agricultural world.

The call can be attended by consortia made up of Italian agricultural holdings, universities and research centers, together with their respective counterparts in the other 27 EU member states or countries associated with the Horizon 2020 program (Iceland, Norway, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia North, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Israel, Moldova, Switzerland, Faroe Islands, Ukraine, Tunisia, Georgia and Armenia).

To apply, interested parties will have until 22 January 2020 to present ambitious and sustainable projects, which include actions aimed at stimulating innovations and strategies in the primary sector, to generate added value along the entire food chain, supporting scientific excellence in Europe.
