US and Taiwan: an organic equivalence arrangement

The American Institute in Taiwan and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States signed and exchanged letters on behalf of the United States and Taiwan inaugurating a new organic equivalence arrangement, effective May 30, 2020, allowing organic products certified in the United States or Taiwan to be sold as organic in either market.

Organic products trade between Korea and EU: : the new rules

From 1 July 2019 the South Korean authorities will introduce a new import certification model:  it shall follow the European organic products exported to Korea  in the context of equivalence recognition. The main change concerns the insertion of a new column relating to the "certificate number". The explanatory note and the new certificate model are attached.

Commercio Corea – UE per i prodotti bio: le nuove regole.

Dal 1 luglio 2019 le Autorità Sudcoreane introdurranno un nuovo modello di certificazione di importazione, che dovrà accompagnare i prodotti biologici europei esportati in tale Paese nell’ambito del riconoscimento di equivalenza.  La modifica principale riguarda l’inserimento di una nuova colonna relativa al “numero di certificato”. In allegato la nota esplicativa ed il nuovo modello di certificato.

Chile-EU: now operative the agreement on trade for organic trade

Now published in the EU Official Gazette the Council Decision (EU) 2017/2307 of 9 October 2017 concerning  the conclusion of the agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Chile on trade in organic products. The agreement has now become operative, and it will come into force from 1 January 2018.
