BioSuisse: the 2019 report

According to the new Bio Suisse report, in 2019 the organic UAA reached 16.2% of the total Swiss agricultural UAA, while organic food products reached a market share of 10.3 percent for the first time and 57% of consumers bought organic products daily or several times a week.

A total of 7,300 farms in 2019 were producing according to Bio Suisse specifications in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

IFOAM EU 2017 ANNUAL REPORT

IFOAM EU has published its 2017 annual report. The report provides a brief overview of the organic sector in Europe and about IFOAM EU activities. In the report introduction, the former president, Christopher Stopes, comments: "IFOAM EU has worked through an important structural change. We have developed and implemented a coherent strategic plan that importantly includes building the capacity of the organic sector in all parts of Europe.

IFOAM EU ANNUAL REPORT 2017

Every year IFOAM EU advocates for the adoption of systems based on the principles of organic agriculture, health, ecology, fairness and care.
