The European Commission's Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries has recently published a series of data on the EU market of organic aquaculture. The latest sales figures were collected by the European Market Observatory for Fisheries and Aquaculture Products - EUMOFA. Organic aquaculture products account for almost 4% of total aquaculture production in the EU, and reached about 50,000 tons in 2015.
