presso la azienda Valdastra di Borgo S. Lorenzo (FI) allevando vitelloni
Limousine biologici sia nella stalla (in Deroga al Reg. CE 1804/99) che al
pascolo (recinti inerbiti), e comparandone le performance, il benessere e lo
stato sanitario. Grazie al finanziamento del finanziato dalla regione Marche
nel 2005, è stato possibile proseguire il progetto occupandosi dello studio e
del miglioramento dell’allevamento biologico dei bovini da carne al fine di:<br />• definire e monitorare il carico di pascolamento sostenibili;<br />• proporre miglioramenti pascolativi in termini sia quantitativi che
qualitativi e ottimizzare la gestione degli stessi;<br />• individuare fonti proteiche biologiche di produzione locale idonee a
sostituire le tradizionali farine di estrazione e diminuire o eliminare il
ricorso ad alimenti OGM;<br />• confrontare le performance zootecniche e la qualità della carne nel sistema
di allevamento del vitellone tradizionale e biologico e proporre una
razionalizzazione del sistema di allevamento biologico da carne sia per le
razze specializzate autoctone che di origine estera; <br />Lo studio è stato realizzato con bovini da carne di razza Limousine.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
