FAO and SlowFood together to save biodiversity – Give value to local productions to compete in the global market

Highligthing and giving value to local productions in the
Thirdcountries may contribute not only to the promotion of the domestic andexport markets, but can
also give an important contribution to reachingfood safety for million of people which depend from
agriculture fortheir own survival. Whith such an intention FAO and SlowFood Foundationfor
Biodiversity have signed a cooperation agreement in the frame of afood safety programme in Western
Africa financed by the ItalianCooperation and involving four countries: Mali, Senegal, Guinea
