Mexican Congress approves organic law, di Carlos Escobar

<div style="text-align: justify;">Mexico
is among the leading organic producers in Latin America, with 400,000
hectares of certified land producing crops such as coffee, avocado,
vanilla, maize, sesame, vegetables, mango, orange, papaya, banana and
honey, but it had only 23,000 hectares of certified production. The
Organic Products Law, finally approved on 9 December 2004, consists of
