<div style="text-align: justify;">The
revision of the EU Regulation is proceeding. The Finnish presidency is
working towards getting the process finalised before their term is
over, but others feel that the proposal is still not good enough to
make a final decision on. The coming month will show whether or not the
Finns. goal will be reached and a decision made by the Council before
the end of the year. The Finnish proposal does not allow labels or
advertising to make general claims that a private or national standard
is stricter than the EU Reg. The IFOAM EU group requests that the
process of developing a new legislation for organic agriculture is
