The EU imports organic products certified by control authorities & control bodies whose standards have been recognised as equivalent to rules of the repealed EU legislation on organics. This recognition is set to expire by 31 December 2024.
The Commission proposes, with a new regulation, an amendment listing control authorities & bodies recognised to certify operators and groups of operators in non-EU countries, compliant with the new EU legislative framework on organics currently in force, for the import of organic products into the EU.
