A RELACS project - The overall aim is the development of novel copper alternatives and integration in crop protection strategies to replace copper (no copper strategies) or to limit the use of copper (low copper strategies) in organic plant production.
The reduction of copper-based plant-protection products with the final aim of phasing out has a high priority in European policy, as well as in organic agriculture. Our survey aims at providing an overview of the current use of these products in European organic agriculture and the need for alternatives to allow policymakers to develop strategies for a complete phasing out.
Il progetto RELACS ha recentemente pubblicato due nuove ricerche scientifiche su promettenti strumenti e strategie di protezione delle piante per ridurre ulteriormente l'uso di input esterni e controversi, in particolare olio minerale e rame.
Nell’ambito del progetto ‘RELACS - Improving inputs for organic farming’, nel proprio vigneto commerciale a Frick, in Svizzera, Fibl ha effettuato 16 trattamenti di nuovi prodotti fitosanitari contro la muffa nella viticoltura biologica. Tre dei prodotti testati utilizzavano rame, i restanti 13 sono stati sostituiti da prodotti pilota, uno dei quali a base di estratto di larice.
