Situating female Labourers in Organic Farming Practices

Growing concern for protecting the environment and bringing sustainability gradually shifted the continual focus on agriculture through organic farming. The current paper focuses on how the sustainability of agriculture ignored the sustainability of marginal women workers. The aim is to show the structural continuity of the social structure and how it supports the issues of gender inequality in agriculture. Presently organic farming is adopted by both core and periphery countries but still, there is a constant failure to implement gender-neutral policies and support of training facilities to women workers in agriculture. Exploring how capitalism continues to demand oppression and reproduction of labour of the marginal women for its own survival and capital accumulation. Again, the paper is trying to show the link between capitalistic social relations and environmental sustainability through organic farming, which creates a new way to maximise profit behind the development agenda.
