famous US magazine aboutfood, after an inquiry involving 1,800 chefs of the American
CulinaryFederation. But the most relevant trend is that insiders and consumers have nowunderstood
that “organic” is healthier and sustainable, higher quality and taste.Among these products, the
organic wine has a leading position. In Italy,following a research by Nomisma, the last three years
have seen a growth of “organic”bottles sold in the supermarkets, especially the DOC and DOCG.
“Barone Pizzini”,a historical Franciacorta brand, with its basic product has won a golden medalat
BioFach this year plus a “tre bicchieri” (three glasses) of Gambero Rosso,the Italian sophisticated
gourmet’s magazine. The deputy director of “BaronePizzini”, Silvano Brescianini, says that '<span style="font-style: italic;">in the first 9 months of 2010 thecompany has increased sales by 10%, in
particular towards northern Europeancountries, north America and Japan</span>”. In Italy today more
