The Organic Farm Knowledge platform builds on exchanging knowledge and collaborating with various stakeholders in the value chain of the organic food system. To strengthen further alliances, and to reach our common goal of promoting more sustainable and equitable farming practices in Europe, Organic Farm Knowledge has teamed up with the OrganicAdviceNetwork.
With this collaboration specifically we hope to build, strengthen and support the urgently needed community of organic advisors by establishing a diverse network of 1,000 experienced advisers across all EU Member States and seven other countries in Europe to get closer to the goal of the European Union of achieving 25% organic farmland by 2030.
The project will offer various in-person and online opportunities for knowledge exchange and training in 5 thematic networks.
The 5 Thematic Networks
- Organic Arable Production
- Organic Vegetable Production
- Organic Fruit Production
- Organic Viticulture
- Organic Ruminant Husbandry
Practice oriented materials and tools for advisors within these 5 topics were carefully selected on the basis of knowledge gaps identified by the OAN project partners and will be stored and made available on the Organic Farm Knowledge platform.
